Throughout my nearly three decades in healthcare IT, I’ve seen the problems facing physicians and their practices change dramatically. With today’s mounting operational costs, staffing difficulties, bureaucratic red tape, frivolous litigation, and inadequate EHR solutions, it’s no wonder so many medical practices are forced to sell out or shut their doors entirely. Despite these challenges, I continue to believe independent physician practices are vital to American healthcare, so I have dedicated my career to helping those practices remain successful.
That goal led me to co-found BlueFish Medical, because I recognized a growing need for a firm that could blend industry expertise and software solutions with reliably professional service and customer support. Most Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) vendors outsource data management to cheaper overseas providers, causing a decline in service and efficiency. I believe a well-trained team of local professionals can provide much better results and service quality for customers.

I’ve seen firsthand how new government initiatives and incentives have caused headaches for health providers and staff members. Yet as frustrating as the transition to electronic health records has been, I also believe EHR has the ability to revolutionize patient care for the better—if it’s implemented correctly. That’s why my passion is working with physicians and clinical groups to implement these new qualities and standards in a way that allows better, faster, and more nimble patient care.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to training and implementation. To serve every physician and staff member effectively, I create a unique training model and implementation method based on the needs of each individual clinic. Whether implementing EHR for the first time, changing workflows, or adapting to new government initiatives, my goal is to help every client embrace the potential of healthcare innovation while avoiding the hassles.
I have more than twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry as a practice owner, clinical trainer, and consultant. I’ve worked with physicians and medical organizations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. This has allowed me to develop a broad range of expertise in operational management, workflow development and analysis, process improvements, and government initiatives—all of which I’m excited to put into practice on behalf of every BlueFish Medical customer.

I am a firm believer that if a patient truly understood what was going on in their body, they would be more compliant with their treatment and see greater improvements in their health. Giving patients the tools they need to make the right decisions for their health is one of my deepest passions. That’s why I’m so excited about helping practices provide chronic care management services!
Providers today are busier than they have ever been. Caught between a growing “consumer” mindset in their patient populations, complex payer agreements, and ever-more stringent government requirements, time is in short supply, and maintaining a profitable practice can be a struggle. My goal is to remove the burden of CCM services from a practice, enable their patients to access excellent care beyond the office visit, and improve the health of those patients. It’s also satisfying to know that our client practices are realizing revenue for CCM, many of them for the first time.
I have more than 16 years of experience as an RN. After graduating with my BSN from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, my experience has ranged from pediatrics, electronic medical records to clinical education. I have worked as a staff nurse and educator in the clinic and hospital setting including instructor certifications for BLS, ACLS and PALS. Over the years, I have trained clinicians in how to use and implement electronic medical records, written specifications for product enhancements, managed projects with 700+ employees, and created templates for medical documentation. The common denominator in my career has been the love of helping people. I am so excited to work at BlueFish Medical where we can encourage patients to comply with their health care regimen and hear firsthand how their health and wellness has improved!

I’ve always been a firm believer in the success of connected client and patient care, no matter the clinical setting. The close relationships created, and services offered by a vendor practice can play a huge role in patient compliance and overall satisfaction from a clinical standpoint as well as a business standpoint. Over the years of experience in the medical field with BlueFish, it has been exciting to see how the range of services that we offer between RPM and CCM have made such a positive impact in the medical industry and in the overall health of our patients, specifically for our current clients. As a former CCM Outreach Coordinator, I’ve been able to see firsthand how Chronic Care Management and Remote Patient Monitoring can greatly help patients stay connected with their provider and up to date on the best possible care and education for treating their chronic conditions. Our goal is to help these patients successfully manage their chronic conditions, providing the tools, support, and education they need, as well as taking that extra monthly time under our wing to assist our clients in caring for these patients.
As a Business Manager I am passionate about working with our clients closely to better understand their daily processes so we can create a unique workflow for our staff once our services are implemented. Helping provide a smooth transition into these changes, providing excellent outreach services, as well as connected customer service and patient care is my top priority. I have loved working with clients in the past to help improve their quality measure compliance by ensuring that patients are getting labs and procedures performed on a regular basis (as regulated by CMS) as well as scheduling regular appointments and following up on consults. With my experience over the years in patient care and customer service, I am passionate about helping and encouraging each client on how we can better help them provide the best of care to their patients. The quality of care and encouragement that our patients receive from us is an essential part of who we are as a company, and we look forward to continuing that legacy.
Our BlueFish team is like family, and we pride ourselves in treating our clients and patients like family as well. I look forward to helping establish detailed care and services for each of our customers, so together we can provide better care for our patients.

I have more than 17 years of experience as an LPN. My experience has ranged from nursing supervisor in a long term care facility, staff nurse in the clinic setting and home health nursing. Throughout my years in the medical field, I have seen firsthand the challenges Providers and nurses face to provide in depth education regarding diagnoses, medications and treatments. The office visits themselves do not always allow for thorough education and understanding for the patients or caregivers. I believe when patients fully understand the role that nutrition, exercise and therapy compliance plays in the prevention and management of chronic diseases and improving overall health, they will become more engaged in their treatment. That’s why I am so passionate about Chronic Care Management. I have personally seen the benefits of this program and am excited to see this program grow as we partner with our Providers for the benefit of our patients.

As an LPN of nearly 2 decades, I’ve taken care of people of all ages and so many different backgrounds. I’ve worked in Family medicine, urgent care settings, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and home health. When I became a CCM nurse in March of 2018 for BlueFish Medical, it didn’t take long for me to realize I’ve discovered something remarkable! What a wonderful opportunity it is to reach out to patients and make a positive difference in their life. I really enjoyed coaching and teaching patients about their conditions and how their decisions and daily habits impact their health. Helping patients set their health goals and sharing their joy and excitement as they reach them was so rewarding! I truly found myself in a position that allowed me to interact with patients on a deeper level than I ever could in an office setting. One of my biggest passions is to empower patients to improve their health and wellbeing and that is exactly what CCM is all about…and I’m so thankful to be a part of it!
Now as one of the Clinical Supervisors for BlueFish Medical, I’m blessed to be able to share my passion with other nurses and medical assistants while helping them really “dig in” to their own desire to see patient lives change for the better. My goal as Clinical Supervisor is to motivate and empower our clinical staff by giving them the tools they need to succeed as a CCM Care Manager so our patients can live a healthier life. I’ve seen firsthand how CCM services help ensure the continuity of care and patient education between office visits which is comforting to the patients, families, and their health care providers. I love people and I’m so proud to work for a company that takes pride in excellence and integrity when it comes to serving our patients and customers.

Collecting revenue from payers has become an increasingly harder task. Over time providers are being required to provide more information to the insurance companies. Providers are being limited on what procedure will be covered if performed during the same visit, they are having more documentation requested, and different insurances are covering only specific diagnosis with specific procedures. Having to keep up with all the constant changes can be an overwhelming task.
Having the right medical billing staff is essential to keeping an office running smoothly and assuring revenue is constant is vital to keeping any business afloat. Bringing in a Revenue Cycle Company can be worrisome for an office that has never outsourced the work, but it can be very beneficial if the correct company is selected. Everyone’s needs are different, and they change over time. The positive part about taking this risk? You will not have to worry about your biller being out sick or having to hire a biller because one decided to quit. You will have a staff of billers that are available to answer those hard questions and will do the research for you. You will have a relationship with your biller with open communication and reports provided by Bluefish letting you know what is happening in your business, so you do not have to search for answers.
I have over 15 years of experience in the medical field. I have worked in medical records, front desk, phone operator, insurance verification, as a medical biller, and RCM Manager Lead. I have worked with practices in New York, Florida, California, Mississippi, Alabama, Maryland, New Jersey, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. Every state and every insurance are different, but I am able to continue learning and adapting to the constantly changing needs and insurance requirements because it is something I enjoy. I obtained an A.S. in Medical Billing and Coding from Valencia College in Orlando, FL. Being bilingual (English/Spanish) allows me to speak to your customers in either language so they feel comfortable and understand what is being explained. Our billing staff is hard-working, and we make every effort to ensure our customers are satisfied and that they are receiving the best service possible.
